A brisk firefight ensues late on the night of 26 February 1991 when an Iraqi mechanized force runs into elements of Task Force Papa Bear near Kuwait International Airport during Operation Desert Storm. By dawn, the airport was in the hands of the 1st Marine Division and Task Force Taro. Marines used M60 and M1A1 Abrams tanks, along with heavy artillery units, to great effect during the Gulf War.
