The Marine Corps distributed this poster in August 1917. Falls used simple bold designs for his recruiting posters, preferring to work in a few contrasting colors. For this design, he used a flat dark green background with a contrasting yellowish color for the face of the Marine and a grey helmet. The words are in bold rounded white lettering that accentuate the eagle, globe, and anchor device on the helmet.
