In March 1967, Col Waterhouse observed “at Vinh Long, the U. S. Navy Seawolf’s (choppers) are based here along with lots of Army stuff and 3 swimming pools. I made a tour of the perimeter of this base at dusk as these teams were about to start their patrols for the night.”
