It was a hot and windy summer day when I found a shady spot to sit and create the initial sketch and establish the colors for this painting. I continued to work on it in between other watercolor paintings knowing I needed to take my time on it and wanting to keep it fresh. Lanterman's Mill has always been a special place to me and it keeps calling me back. I love to see it in every season and especially after heavy rains to hear the amazing roar of the falls. Its just a bike ride away and I like to stop on the bridge that overlooks it, send off a prayer of thanks, take a few photos, a drink of water, and then complete the 10 mile loop back home. This is my second painting of Lanterman's Mill that I'm adding to my Mill Creek Park themed collection.
