I was finally able to paint in plein air again and joined up with my artist friends to paint Lake Newport. I chose this view because I really liked the composition including the pretty sky, the dock and sunlit stone platform the leads down to the falls. There are so many choices to pick from at this location and I’m sure I’ll be back again in the future to paint another view. I decided to include the orange floats knowing it helps those who know the park to identify this exact location.
