Beth Basista from Boardman, Ohio, is best known for painting landscapes, birds and animals using vivid and contrasting colors. She enjoys working in oils, watercolors, acrylics, and mixed media, choosing what she believes works best for each subject. Beth worked as an illustrator and graphic designer before starting her advertising business Techni-Graphics where she used her creative skills to promote her clients. Her illustration, photography, love for color and creating a composition, are combined to provide a recognizable creative style in each painting. Over the years she found more time to concentrate on developing her painting techniques and discover the advantage of painting in "Plein air" (open air). Beth Basista's love for nature is captured in many of her Ohio and in Florida landscapes. All her life she has enjoyed the nearby Mill Creek Metro Parks which has provided inspiration for her Mill Creek Park themed collection. She hopes her paintings draw the observer into each scene or subject, allowing them to experience the warmth of the sunlight, coolness of a snow scene, sounds of nature and the visual beauty of God's amazing creations.
