This is my newest Mill Creek Park-themed painting of one of the hiking trails in Mill Creek Park. Painting on Yupo paper can be quite difficult because it handles paint as thought painting on plastic. The paint doesn’t blend into the others the way it does on watercolor paper which can cause problems. However, I love how the colors blend into each other while still wet and how the brush strokes stay separated. When it came to naming it, my initial idea was to name it “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” but my husband voted it down. Since his ideas weren’t any better, I decided to post it on my Beth Basista Paintings facebook page to ask friends what they would name it. I received many awesome suggestions, but I decided to go with Steve Tepsick’s “Cold Feet”. The name made me laugh so hard - partly because Steve always makes me laugh at the funny comments he maks but also because it was so fitting! “Cold Feet” takes the viewer right into experiencing a cold winter day’s hike through the park. Thanks Steve!
